About Dr Eddy Ferrufino Rivera
Dr Eddy Ferrufino Rivera is a Consultant in Respiratory and Sleep Medicine with specialist expertise in the diagnosis and management of a wide range of sleep-related and respiratory conditions. He has worked across public and private hospitals in Ireland since 2015.
His clinical work in sleep medicine has focused on sleep-related breathing disorders, including obstructive sleep apnoea and obesity-related hypoventilation, and on sleep disorders associated with chronic respiratory diseases such as COPD, asthma, bronchiectasis and interstitial lung disease. He has significant experience investigating unexplained breathlessness, chronic cough and respiratory muscle weakness.
He is an Associate Professor at University College Dublin (UCD) and is actively involved in medical education and training.

Dr Ferrufino completed his specialist training in Respiratory Medicine in Spain in 2013, followed by a Master's Degree in Clinical Research. He was also awarded an International Master's Degree in Sleep Medicine.
